The last episode of my fitness series included a talk from a ski instructor who moonlights as a dietician when there is no snow. This recipe is called THE DEADBEET. And, of course, it can also be non-alcoholic.
The Deadbeet:
In a juicer, blend 1/2 apple, 1/3 medium beet, 1/2 cucumber, a bit of ginger, and the juice of 1/2 a lemon.
The gin version:
Add 2 ounces of gin, 1/2 ounce maple syrup, 1 egg white, a bit more lemon juice. shake in a shaker with the Deadbeet mix. Strain through a strainer and enjoy!
