Join fellow PSCers on the Blue Ridge Ski Council's 2023 Winterfest trip to Lake Placid, NY!
Lake Placid was the host for the
1932 and
1980 Winter Olympics. Nearby
Whiteface Mountain was the venue for the 1980 Olympic alpine events, featuring the longest vertical drop (3,430') in the East. We'll be staying with other BRSC clubs at the
High Peaks Resort in the town of Lake Placid, with free shuttles to and from the mountain and other Olympic venues. An optional day trip to
Gore Mountain is included.
The estimated package price of $1,276 includes:
- BRSC bus to/from the D.C. or Baltimore area (TBD)
- 5 nights double occupancy hotel room at the High Peaks Resort
- daily breakfast at the hotel
- welcome party, après ski social, farewell dinner
- optional ski day at Gore Mountain
- 4-day adult lift ticket for Whiteface & Gore
- free resort shuttle
$34 discount for junior (
ages 7-12) or senior (70+) lift tickets.
An optional 5th-day lift ticket is available for $52.
There's lots to do and see in and around Lake Placid for non-skiers, too!

Singles policy: The PSC Board of Directors has recently formalized club policy regarding single travelers without roommates. Please review the event rules below before registering.
