Not the Newsletter for November 2021
Wow! Back in full swing with ski season 2022.
Here’s what’s new
PSC meeting Anna’s Thursday Nov 11th, 7 p.m.
Welcome back Dallas Kipfer, who will be pitch- hitting for the vacationing Bill Capron. Announcements, trip updates, and an exciting guest speaker, Chris McHose, Director of Rehab at Patriot’s Colony in Williamsburg.
When I met Chris though the Riverside Doctor’s Series sponsored by CNU’s Lifelong Learning Society, I realized we have several acquaintances in common: current and past PSC members who reside at Patriot's Colony, including Janet Kosidlak, and Sharon and Boyd Nix! Chris will deliver tips, tricks and strategies for healthy aging. Thank you to our excellent VP (Sharon Nix) for arranging our program.
Save the date: Dinner at Cracker Barrel, Tuesday Nov. 16th, 6:30 p.m. Newport News location 12357 Hornby Lane, near Patrick Henry. Details forthcoming.
Coming Soon: PSC Trip Captain’s virtual meeting: Where do we propose to ski in 2023/2024? Meet on Zoom to put together a tentative schedule of trips and the captains who will lead them. We have a fully operational Trip Captain’s Manual along with seasoned captains to guide you on creating and executing excellent adventures to the slopes of your dreams. All club members with interest in trip captaining, please join in. Zoom details will be provided in an upcoming E-blast.
PSC December Holiday Party planning underway: stay tuned for a sign- up message coming from Cathy Margiotta to organize our back to basics gathering at the Holidays, this year being held at the Jewish Community Center in Newport News. We need help with set up and take down, decorations and table settings, and of course tasty dishes and desserts to share. Who will join me at the early morning poinsettia grab at Home Depot?
Hope to see you at Anna's on the 11th. Come out and meet our newest member and honorary team doc Chris McHose. I'll be sending zoom details if you are not able to join us in person.
Your pres
Dorrie.
