Yoga For Skiing

My skiing fitness class included a section on some basic yoga positions that the instructor recommended for skiing. If you are familiar with yoga, there's nothing unusual here. And if you are unfamiliar with yoga, none of these positions are particularly hard. What's important about yoga is be be clean and precise with your movements and to hold them for at least a few seconds each.

If you were taking a yoga class, the instructor would lead you in correct breathing using your diaphragm. This breathing is something you can also look up online.

What follows is a list of those recommended positions. You can look them up on the internet if you are not familiar.

Child's Pose
Cat and Cow (alternating)
Downward Dog
Locust
Chair
Warriors (One, Two, and Three. Many variations too.)
Mountain
Tree
Pyramid
Bridge
