Big Sky Panorama

Wide-open spaces and dramatic peaks make for a world-class skiing experience in the Northern Rockies. Snow falls consistently on 5,850 acres of skiable terrain, ranging from wide-open groomers to dynamic glades and challenging steeps. With 4,350' of vertical and an average of more than one acre per skier, Big Sky provides plenty of room to move. Stay warm in one of the four bubble chairs, including Swift Current 6, the fastest chairlift in North America, and Ramcharger 8 with heated seats.

It's not just for skiers! Yellowstone National Park is nearby. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, dog sled rides, fly fishing, horseback riding, zip line and more are available.

We'll be staying in hotel-style accommodations in Big Sky's signature Huntley Lodge, just a two-minute walk to the lifts.

The estimated package price of $1,996 includes:
  • round-trip airfare from Norfolk, VA to Bozeman, MT
  • ground transportation between Bozeman and Big Sky
  • 7 nights double occupancy hotel room in the Huntley Lodge
  • daily buffet breakfast
  • 1 group dinner
Lift tickets are extra and there are many options; see the trip flyer for details.

Refund cut-off date:  June 30, 2022

All prices are good-faith estimates based on the best available information and may be subject to change as circumstances warrant.

This trip has non-standard cancellation fees, as follows:
  • through June 30, 2022:  $50
  • after June 30, 2022:  all unrecoverable costs
We recommend travel insurance to protect your investment in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Consult the trip flyer for more information.

Singles policy: The PSC Board of Directors has recently formalized club policy regarding single travelers without roommates. Please review the event rules below before registering. To avoid excessive lodging charges in the event that a suitable roommate cannot be found, singles are strongly encouraged to pair up with a roommate before signing up for this trip.

Important: This trip has many options, particularly for lift tickets. Our software does not allow us to make changes to your selections after the fact, so please review your choices carefully before making them!

Payment notice: Online credit card payments through this site are limited to $1,500 per transaction. If your initial deposit or subsequent scheduled payment exceeds this amount, you must pay by check. Depending on the options selected, you may be able to reduce payment amounts below the limit by registering each family member separately. Single travelers will assume the extra cost of a private room (single supplement) if a suitable roommate cannot be found. To eliminate such risk, single travelers are encouraged to make mutual arrangements for a roommate and to specify their roommate at the time of trip sign-up. Two singles who do not wish to room together will each incur the cost of a single supplement if no other acceptable roommates are available. In some cases, lodging capacity and bedding configurations may limit the number of singles that
can be accommodated.

(2) for trips priced over $100, (a) $25 if cancelled up to the date of the September meeting, or (b) $50 if cancelled after the September meeting date and before the stated refund cutoff date for the trip, or (c) if cancelled after the stated refund cutoff date, the greater of (i) the club's unrecoverable costs or (ii) $50;
(3) individual trips may establish higher cancellation fees which will be noted in marketing materials for the trip;
